Head Teacher's Welcome

Dear Parents,

A warm welcome to Kingswood School. We hope this brief introduction helps you to gain a valuable insight into what has become known as ‘The Kingswood Experience.’ Our school is a family school, which means children feel that they belong and the school belongs to them. A home from home!

Kingswood is a unique place of learning which is forged around a deep care for children’s wellbeing. It is the school of brilliant beginnings and fabulous finishes and our daily drive for ‘brilliance’ enables each child to reach their full potential.

Our School Website: www.kingswoodschool.co.uk offers a wealth of information about our wonderful school but there is no real substitute for a visit during the school day or book into one of our popular Open Days.

We are looking forward to meeting you , showing you around our school and discussing your specific needs.

We look forward to sharing our school with you.

With best wishes
Michelle Beech (Headteacher)

About us

Where Individuals Matter

At Kingswood, we put SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural) education at the heart of school development; thinking about the people we aspire to be, the world we aspire to create and the education we aspire to provide. It encompasses personal development across the whole curriculum.

Through our 5 core values, we encourage students to accept responsibility for their behaviour, show initiative, and to understand how they can contribute positively to the life of the school and the wider society.

The children develop their respect and awareness of democracy here in Kingswood when they participate in the democratic process by annually voting for School Council representatives and House and vice captains. We also have Peer Mediators and Play Leaders who promote and develop other aspects of Kingswood life.

Through our wide and varied extra-curricular clubs, visits and activities, we enable students to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-confidence and respect for others.
