Upper School Day

The school day for 7 to 11 year olds at Key Stage 2 is as follows:

Start of School Day When the bell rings at 8.45am children line up in the playground in their class groups in a quiet and orderly fashion. After hanging up their bags and coats and storing their caps and hats they enter class and sit quietly at their desks where they complete "early morning tasks" which typically include silent reading and handwriting practice. The register is then taken and lunch choices recorded.

English The daily English lesson starts at 9am and finishes at 10am. English lessons take place in class groups.

Snack Children have their early morning snack between 10am and 10.10am.
